Bring Back the Bush
The Case for Pubic Hair
Remember Hugh Hefner, the famous publisher, and one of the most notorious casanovas of the 20th century ?
Feminists considered him a symbol of patriarchy and sexism, but he fought long and hard against the prudeness of mainstream American culture. He along with Bob Guccione of Penthouse helped push the envelope of what was allowed to be shown of women as pinup girls in his magazine "Playboy".
In the 50s and 60s pubic hair was not shown because it was seen as pornographic, but by the 70s both magazines Penthouse and Playboy started competing with each other to show pubic hair. Pinups are now redundant, as are girls in bikinis with hair sprouting out from underneath or on top of their panties.
Now all the hair has completey been replaced by epillated or waxed skin. Immaculate skin without a hair in sight is now the ideal. Too bad!
How has the it been going with freedom the way Hugh Hefner envisioned? Have we advanced in this area?
Nope!
Modern censorship is called "community guidelines" and can be initiated by anyone by pressing the report (flagging) button on social media platforms. Showing a nipple on Instagram will lead to them being scratched over. In general photos with nude bodies will be embellished.
Seemingly new technology advances hand in hand with more repression. This is de-evolution, going backwards.
But it gets worse, the pubic hair is now gone of its own accord. Shaved off by the women and men themselves! It is a norm now seemingly followed by everybody!
For men it is called manscaping. They now have a shaver for men that does not harm sensitive areas. So now guys can wash their face, brush their teeth and shave their balls for that really clean look!
If a man shaves his bush, his noodle hangs out and looks like a lonely palm tree in the middle of the desert without any shade. I can only wonder, how do trends like these become mainstream? Will they ever go away?
When I was young I cannot recall that there was any shaving of hair by women except maybe the calves of the legs. There was no shaving under the armpits , or the eyebrows either. Only bodybuilders shaved the body to showcase muscles.
Now all bodily hair is seen as undesirable, and a sign of yesterday. Pubic hair is seen as obsolete and a lack of sophistication on the bearer, if still present.
Actually, pubic hair is super sexy ! It is a biological signal to attract attention to the jewels of creation. Lest we forget human beings are still animals.
Definitely at least men are.
Bring back the bush!
